Overview

**Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.This position is responsible for performing nasopharyngeal swabbing tests (nasal swab) on UW Health patients, employees, and the public at the UW Health Coronavirus testing site. The Testing Site RN delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice Act and UW Health Nursing Professional Practice Model. The Testing Site RN participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assumes responsibility for their professional development.Minimum Requirements:Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of MadisonTraveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.*Will consider candidates without WI or compact license but must apply for a temporary license under the interstate reciprocity order within 48 hours of offer accepted and provide screenshot of application submitted. Traveler must complete this requirement prior to being cleared to start.Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.Prior traveling experience preferred.Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 – Trauma center.BLS (American Heart Association Only)Need 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only)Schedule: Our operating hours are from 7:00am – 7:00pm including weekends and holidays.
