**Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs. During the traveler s assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes the safety of the patient during surgery, provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery, cares for the patient during surgery and cares for the instruments and supplies used in surgery. The Surgical Technologist functions to promote the safety of the patient as a member of the surgical team. The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).Minimum Requirements:Education – Successfully completed an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Experience – One (1) year of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required. Strongcardiac and thoracic skill set.BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross, ONLY) **Do not submit candidate who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment.
