Unit DescriptionProvide overview of unit, patient population, number of beds, common procedures, key technology, etc37 bed unit that is staffed with RN s and CNA s.Staffing matrix is between 1:4-6 patients.Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to, a Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and Physical and Occupational Therapists.Patient population is a combination of tele and medical status patients, all tele patients are monitored remotely by a CCT.Currently SMT unit is a Respiratory Unit taking all positive COIVD-19 and rule out patients.Non-NegotiablesDescribe necessary experience level, licensure, certifications, educationRN s need at least 2 years of nursing experienceBLS and ACLSEducation: Preferably a Bachelors, ADN is acceptable.Must pass a telemetry competency exam to include identifying and measuring telemetry rhythms strips.ScheduleDescribe shift/schedule structure, floating requirements, call requirements, etcThe schedule consists of a 4 week period in which preferences are written out and the leadership may change the requests to balance the staff in order to meet the needs of the unit. Nurses are required to work 1 extra shift and 4 weekend shifts in that four week period. Additionally, they must work 2/3 major holidays in the contract period. There will be opportunities to float to ICU s, medical floors as well Renown South Meadows.UPDATE: As of 6/12/20, Renown Reserves the right to call off, without penalty, FOUR (4) shifts, or 48 hours, for low census per 13 week contract.
