Overview

Time off requested after the acceptance date will not be approved.13 weeks assignment, 2 years experience current required in a 15 plus bed intensive care unit required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. At alternate location-Will float to progressive care unit and med/surg. Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred. Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Ratios- 1:1 or 1:2 (1:3 for holding tele patients)Orientation is the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required and not provided by the facility. White scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria red, plum purple, hunter green or black.This is a 12 hourVN shift position. Additional Information:Incentive Bonuses: 1) Any travelers that start on the initial date agreed to when the offer is accepted by an agency between 10/19/2020 & 2/8/2020 will qualify for a $1,000 on time start bonus (to be paid out at the end of their assignment). 2) Any nursing travelers that are asked to extend an additional 13 weeks/2nd assignment between 10/19/20 – 2/8/21 (and complete the full 26 weeks) will earn a $7,500 completion bonus. ***Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location***COVID 19 Alert: The state of New Mexico requires a 14 day self-quarantine immediately prior to traveling to NM or immediately upon arrival to NM as well as twice daily self monitoring.
